Charles (also known as Carl) was born October 8, 1856 He came to the United States with his family about 1860, settling in Minnesota. On January 30, 1880 he married Wilhemina Dresow in Carver County. Wilhemina was the daughter of John and Johanna Kusserow Dresow. She was born July 15, 1859 in Germany. Charles and Wilhemina had 3 children: Charles Meta Wilhemina When the 1885 Minnesota Territorial Census was taken, Charles and Wilhemina were living in Long Prairie in Todd County. Wilhemina's parents John and Johanna Dresow were also living there and they were all still living there when the 1895 census was done. Wilhemina's father John became ill and passed away June 20, 1989; sometime after, her mother Johanna returned to Carver County to live. Charles and Wilhemina continued to live in Long Prairie at least until after the 1905 Territorial Census was taken. Then they either decided to move from Minnesota or they were visiting their son in North Dakota, whenWilhemina became ill and died from Septicemia on April 1, 1908 in Drake, McHenry County, North Dakota. She is buried in the Drake Cemetery. Charles met and married AnnaWille. Anna was born January 8, 1892 in Todd County, Minnesota, and the daughter of Richard and Charlotte HartungWille. Anna was 36 years younger than Charles and the sister of his daughter-in-law.
