Waconia Patriot, August 7, 1952

Father Justinain Kugler, O.F.M. parish priest of

the St. Victoria Catholic Church at Victoria,

passed away at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in St.

Paul, late Tuesday afternoon, August 5^th. He

had suffered a stroke in the afternoon and was

taken to the hospital where he died some time

later. He was 69 years old.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August

8^th, at 10:00 a.m., at the Guardian Angel Catholic

Church in Chaska, Father Lucas Hellstern O.F.M.

will intone the Requiem Mass. Father Provmerial

Elgis Wier of St. Louis will preach the sermon.

Internment will be made in the Guardian Angel

Cemetery, Chaska. The remains will lay in state all

day Thursday (today) at the Guardian Angel

Church. Father Kugler was born at Waconia, where

he leaves a large number of relatives and friends to

mourn his passing. Before assuming the parish

duties at Victoria, Father Kugler had been stationed

at Jordan, Minnesota, Chicago, Illinois, Humphrey,

Nebraska and Chaska Minnesota.
