Daniel Dusek, 81, formerly of Sauk Centre
died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 1977, at the Pine
Villa Nursing Home in Melrose.
He was born July 21, 1895, to Peter and
Mary (Wanous) Dusek in Owatonna. He
came to the Sauk Centre area with his
parents at the age of 18 and farmed with
his father in Sauk Centre Twp. until moving
into the city in 1937. He entered the Pine
Villa Nursing Home in January of 1974.
Survivors include a brother, Albert of Sauk
Centre; and two sisters, Mrs. John (Mary
Merten) of Sauk Centre and Mrs. Peter
(Elizabeth) Finken of Sauk Centre. Two
brothers and one sister preceded him in
death.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m.
Saturday, Feb. 5, at Our Lady of the
Angels Catholic Church with the Rev.
Victor Kinzer officiating. Burial was at
Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tony
Merten, Jerome Dusek, Victor Odegard,
Norbert Odegard, Elmer Finken and
Bernard Rutten. Crossbearer was
